Owner / Mechanical Engineer

Joaquin is the Owner of 27th St. Automotive. He is a Mechanical Engineer and has been interested in the auto industry for his whole life. He is from Merida, Mexico where he started helping his father’s shop repair cars. He came to Boise in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a dream to open his own shop. However, his dream would be delayed for several years. When he first arrived in Boise he began working as a technician at Micron. During this time he attended Boise State University for a Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Through hard work, he was promoted to the level of senior technician at Micron. Joaquin has successfully run 27th St for over 12 years and has a beautiful wife, Kim, and 3 boys. When he is not working Joaquin enjoys being outdoors and participating in Spartan races. His 2 energetic and adorable big dogs keep him busy!
